Step 1: Go to the NVIDIA drivers website
Visit the NVIDIA website linked below.
Step 2: Find your graphics card
There will be a few dropdown boxes where you select YOUR specific graphics card. For this example, we'll be updating the drivers for an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060.
Step 3: Select the product type
Select "GeForce" as the "Product Type".
Step 4: Select the product series
Select your specific "Product Series". For this example, we'll select "GeForce RTX 30 Series".
Step 5: Select the product
Select your specific "Product". For this example, we'll select "GeForce RTX 3060".
Step 6: Select your operating system
Select your "Operating System". For this example, we'll select "Windows 11".
Step 7: Choose the Game Ready Driver
Under "Download Type", select "Game Ready Driver (GRD)".
Step 8: Search for the driver
Click "Search" and it will bring up the latest available driver for your selected graphics card.
Step 9: Download the driver
Click "Download" and save the driver to your preferred destination.
Step 10: Open the installer
Once the driver has finished downloading, open the installer.
Step 11: Click OK
Click "OK".
Step 12: Wait for the files to save
Wait for the files to be saved to your PC.
Step 13: Agree and continue
Select "Agree and Continue".
Step 14: Click Next
Select "Next".
Step 15: Wait for the install to finish
Wait for the installation process to complete.
Step 16: Close and restart
Once the install has finished, click "Close" and restart your PC. And now you're done!

Game Ready Driver or Studio Driver - which should I pick?
Choose the Game Ready Driver if you mainly game - it's optimised for the latest releases. The Studio Driver is tuned for stability in creative apps like Adobe, DaVinci Resolve and Blender.
How do I find out which NVIDIA graphics card I have?
Right-click the Start button, open Device Manager and expand Display adapters. Your NVIDIA GeForce card will be listed there.
Do I need to uninstall my old NVIDIA driver first?
No - the installer updates over the top of your existing driver. If you're switching from an AMD card or having driver problems, do a clean uninstall with DDU first.
How often should I update my NVIDIA drivers?
Update when a big new game comes out or every couple of months. New Game Ready drivers often include performance improvements for the latest titles.
