Shipping policy
Shipping Methods
Cataclysm Computers provides free delivery on all products. We organize delivery via courier once the product is ready to ship. The preparation time for shipping varies by product, ranging from one day to two weeks. Custom-built computers require approximately an additional two days for assembly.
Notification and Tracking
Customers will receive an email notification with tracking details once delivery is organized. Once the package is with the courier, delivery times depend on the courier's schedule and workload.
Alternative Delivery Methods
In some cases, Cataclysm Computers may opt for an alternative delivery method. Customers will be informed of the specific delivery method when the shipment is organized.
Location
Our main operations are based in Melbourne, Victoria, which influences our dispatch and shipping logistics.
Delivery Time Frames
Below are the estimated delivery times by state. Please note, rural and remote areas may experience longer delivery times, typically an additional 2 to 7 days:
- VIC: Same day to 2 days
- NSW, SA, ACT: 1 to 2 days
- QLD: 3 to 5 days
- WA: 4 to 6 days
- NT: 5 to 7 days
Shipping Discrepancies
While we strive to ensure timely delivery, occasional delays can occur due to factors beyond our control, such as courier delays or unexpected logistical challenges. We appreciate your understanding in these instances.
Risk of Loss
Once the parcel has been delivered to the address provided by the customer - as confirmed by the courierβs tracking and/or photo proof of delivery - the risk of loss or theft passes to the customer. We are not liable for parcels that go missing after delivery confirmation.
Shipping Insurance
Customers may choose to purchase shipping insurance. If insurance is purchased, Cataclysm Computers accepts no liability for any parcel lost or stolen after confirmed delivery.
Authority to Leave (ATL) Agreement
All deliveries are made with Authority to Leave unless otherwise stated. By placing an order, the customer agrees that the courier may leave the parcel unattended at the delivery address. If a safe place is available, the courier will leave the parcel and photograph the location. Once delivered, we are not liable for any loss, theft or damage to the parcel.
Customer Responsibility
Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping details and ensuring they can receive the package as scheduled. We are not liable for delays or issues resulting from incorrect shipping information provided by the customer.
Please note; couriers have authority to leave items in a safe location at residential addresses. A 'safe location' is for the individual courier driver to decide on. If you have having your item delivered to a residential address, please ensure somebody is home on the delivery date advised in your tracking email. Items will not be sent to PO Boxes or left at the nearest post office as we do not use AusPost or StarTrack for shipping.
